Custom Note Backgrounds
Set custom background images or gradients on your notes:
- Upload your own images or choose from gradients
- Adjust the darkness overlay for readability
- Control the scale of background images
- Choose where the background appears:
- Editor only — Background behind just the note editor
- Full note — Background behind the entire note panel
- Entire app — Background across the whole SpudSuite interface
- When using app-wide backgrounds, adjust UI panel transparency so panels blend with the background
Note Templates
Start notes faster with pre-built templates. Instead of staring at a blank page, pick a template and fill in the structure:
- Quick Note — A simple blank note with a title
- Meeting Notes — Attendees, agenda, discussion, and action items
- Daily Journal — Daily focus, reflections, and gratitude
- Project Brief — Overview, goals, requirements, timeline, and risks

To use a template:
- Click the template button in the notes header
- Select a template from the picker
- A new note is created with the template's structure

Recurring Todos
Create tasks that repeat on a schedule — daily, weekly, monthly, or custom. When you complete a recurring task, the next occurrence is created automatically. Perfect for habits, routines, and regular reviews.
Unlimited Projects
Free users can create up to 2 projects. Pro removes this limit — create as many projects as you need to organize your work.
Import/Export Notes
On the web, Pro users can import and export notes as .md (Markdown) files. Bring in notes from other apps or take your SpudSuite notes anywhere.
Cross-Linking
Connect notes to other parts of SpudSuite:
- Add notes as todos — Turn a note into a task in your todo list
- Add notes to planner — Create a planner card linked to a note
Deleted Item Recovery (Pro)
Accidentally deleted a note? Pro users can browse and restore deleted items directly from their cloud storage:
- Deleted Items — Browse files that were moved to trash in your cloud storage
- Revision History — View previous versions of any file and restore to an earlier state
- Content Preview — Preview deleted notes before restoring them
Google Drive: Deleted items are recoverable for up to 30 days after deletion. Revision history is available for the lifetime of the file.
Dropbox: Deleted items are recoverable for 30 days on Basic/Plus plans, or 180 days on Professional/Business plans. Revision history follows the same limits.

FAQ
Do I lose my data if I cancel?
No. All your notes, todos, boards, and projects stay exactly where they are. You just lose access to Pro-only features (premium themes, custom backgrounds, templates, recurring todos, and unlimited projects). Your existing projects are preserved but you won't be able to create new ones beyond 2.
Can I try Pro before buying?
We don't have a free trial, but we have a 7-day refund policy. Try it risk-free.
Is Pro required for sync?
No. Cloud sync is free forever. Pro is for power users who want extra polish and productivity features.
